Saggio Technology

Social Media Intern

June - August 2023 • Columbus, IN

What I liked

Working at Saggio was great! Dan made the internship incredibly enjoyable, giving all the interns room to explore our options, and express ourselves creatively. The internship itself was a lot of fun, and we had a lot to do, from writing social media posts to working on projects that would help Saggio Technology, as well as future interns. If you enjoy having fun at work, Saggio is a great choice.

Advice

Be ready to work hard. Writing for Saggio is a lot of fun, and you get plenty of opportunities to do different projects, but you need to be ready to work hard. If you give your all, you'll go far in this internship.

Social Media Marketer

June - August 2023 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

I really enjoyed that we had the freedom to make posts about a variety of topics. It made it more fun to create graphics and captions about topics I was interested in, especially related to technology. Also, it was very convenient to be remote, and the hours were flexible. I never felt overwhelmed, and had enough time to get everything done.

What I wish was different

I do wish hat we were given more assignments, or more of a variety of things to create. We were given the option at the beginning to ask for more hours, but with working a part-time job on the side, it was decent for me.

Advice

If you want more hours, ask. I probably would have earlier in the internship, but ended up not. If you are working a part-time job, though, the hours will probably be perfect. Also, do not be afraid to ask questions.

PR Intern

September - November 2023 • North Vernon, IN

What I liked

This was my first internship and it was a fantastic experience. This opportunity gave me hands-on experience when it comes to public relations. I felt as though I was valued and my input was appreciated. The program itself was low-stress with flexible hours. It had a focus on collaborative work and team effort. It also gives you a chance to develop connections with those you work with.

What I wish was different

As mentioned previously, this was the first semester that a PR Intern was offered. While my experience was less focused, I believe that going forward this program will become more stable.

Assistant Marketing Manager Intern

September - December 2023 • North Vernon, IN

What I liked

I enjoyed the flexibility that the position offered. It allowed me to gain professional experience while being fully remote and on a schedule that worked well for me. I found everyone that I worked with to be incredibly respectful and intelligent and they were all a real pleasure to get to know throughout the internship. I really appreciated being able to make decisions regarding how I went through the internship rather than just being told what to do.

What I wish was different

I had hoped to gain some more experience leading others in a remote environment, which is something that I had not done before. My role was fairly limited to working with the same small group every week, and not in a way that particularly encouraged me to be in a management position.

Advice

Approach this internship with the mindset of needing to put in what you want to get out of it. You will benefit from trying to build the internship in the way that you would like to, within the scope of your role. For example, I wanted to improve my ability to train others in a leadership role and chose to make several training videos in order to work on that.

AI Marketing

September 2023 • Trenton, MI

What I liked

I really like the innovative atmosphere at Saggio Technologies. The team was always willing to explore the newest AI technologies and marketing strategies. As an intern, this gave me the opportunity to work with the latest solutions and methods. Moreover, the guidance I received was extremely valuable. Senior team members are always there to help, give advice, and share their extensive experience. The company encourages a collaborative culture where my opinions and ideas as an intern were appreciated and considered.

What I wish was different

My hands-on experience at Saggio Technologies was enriching. The structured training program enabled me to quickly and efficiently grasp the nuances of the role. However, if I were to suggest a slight change, it would be in the area of task and team management. Introducing a tool like Notion, in addition to Microsoft Teams, could provide a more streamlined and visually intuitive approach to organizing tasks, teams, and projects. This can further enhance workflow and collaboration among team members, resulting in even more efficient project execution.

Advice

To all the new interns joining Saggio Technologies: take initiative in your role. Seek feedback and maintain communication with your mentors and team members. The field of AI marketing is rapidly evolving, so it's crucial to stay updated and aligned with your team's objectives. Feel free to ask questions and take the lead in areas that interest you. Saggio Technologies values proactive individuals, and there's plenty to learn for those who demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and curiosity. Additionally, prioritize your daily tasks and arrive on time for meetings. Utilize the provided tools, checklists, and resources to enhance your learning and productivity.

Video Marketing Intern

January 2023 • Dallas, TX

What I liked

My experience at Saggio Technology has been riveting. I originally wanted to do photography but when I got to the interview I had no idea they also had videography/video marketing and I’m a media major so I really wanted to do that as well. Dan immediately said that I could do both and I was ecstatic to be able to contribute to both departments. Along my journey, I’ve had help readily when I needed it, been given tons of guidance, as well as great critiques on how to perfect my work for the company. I even met the CEO! Which was amazing in itself, but I can tell that he’s incredibly passionate about his company, his employees and helping others. Knowing that the people who are a part of Saggio technology love their job, makes me love creating work for them more. I’m incredibly busy and a remote internship was perfect for me. I tried 2 other internships but there was always a problem with the company’s credibility or that they were not kind. I think I hit the jackpot with Saggio. I think I could write a few pages of how I feel about the company and I still am not through with my internship. I will just say that I’ve had a great time learning and getting experience in video and photography that will push me forward to new experiences and opportunities.

What I wish was different

I honestly have no quarrels. It's been a fun internship and my first real one. I feels as though I've learned so much in the process of 2 months and I know I'll soon be learning more. I get to do what I'm passionate about and actually contribute to helping a company grow.

Advice

My advice is always ask questions. Never be afraid to communicate. They aren't going to be upset if you do. The more questions you ask, the better you'll understand the ways things work and what you're supposed to do.

Content Writer

January - March 2023 • North Vernon, IN

What I liked

Going in, I was a bit nervous and unsure of exactly what was expected of me. Luckily, Dan was very welcoming and considerate of our needs, so things quickly became clear and routine for each day that we worked. I soon became confident and more explorative when making my posts, incorporating new elements and styles that I hadn’t before, which helped net me the most experience I could out of this opportunity. The requirements to engage on social media and offer praise at the beginning of each session seemed a bit tedious at first. However, I think it was necessary to create an encouraging environment and allowed those of us who liked to work independently the opportunity to engage with our peers. I developed important skills in Canva, Photoshop, and storytelling that can be easily applied to any job I take up in the future, so it was worth the effort I put in. I was motivated to apply to Saggio because of the reviews and testimonials, so I hope mine can be helpful to future applicants who want to know more.

What I wish was different

The only thing I would have wanted to be different is the introduction of quests to be pushed back until at least week 2, it felt a bit overwhelming to learn about them so soon.

Advice

Don't be afraid to do things out of your comfort zone. Dan is very open to new ideas, so any suggestions you make will likely be approved and encouraged. Also, make your comments and praises unique; this makes the person you compliment feel more encouraged and lets everyone else know that you are taking the time to look at and admire others' work.

Editor Intern

August - December 2023 • Bristol, RI

What I liked

I value the positive work atmosphere that this company provides for its staff. Supervisors are always willing to help when needed, which fosters an environment where workers feel comfortable asking for advice and freely sharing areas of uncertainty. Encouraging individuals to identify areas of knowledge gaps and pose questions is crucial for their professional development. As an editor, I had the chance to learn from my mistakes. Overall, I heartily urge anyone looking for a growth-oriented and encouraging work environment to check out this rewarding experience.

What I wish was different

An aspect I would like to see improved is my engagement with content creators. I have only had the chance to meet the people whose content I edit once as an editor. Even if the communication was good, I would have liked to communicate with them more often and promptly. Establishing a professional relationship with content creators is integral to my role, and more connectivity would definitely lead to a more collaborative dynamic.

Advice

One piece of advice is to never be afraid to ask questions. I firmly believe that others, who may also harbor doubts, will inevitably be appreciative of you for asking questions. Asking questions—even if they appear simple at first—helps to create a collaborative, learning-focused atmosphere. It is important to put the quest for knowledge ahead of any reluctance to appear ignorant. Delivering outstanding work based on clarity is valuable, even if it means momentary vulnerability during the process.
