Engineering Technician II (AX1855)
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Months/Years of Experience: Three (3) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable
college/vocational/military/technical school and one (1) year of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: Mechanical – Must have successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and one (1) year of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Required Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance. Ability to follow detailed operating procedures. Repeated manual lifting up to 50lbs is required. Ability to operate a forklift and a medium duty truck required (CDL not required).
Desired Qualifications: Military experience or associate degree in engineering technology
desired. Basic electronic/computer troubleshooting skills. AMMO certification is desired. Experience with automotive or diesel repair a plus.
Skills Needed: Proficient with software tools such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Duties:
*Travel to locations around the world to support missile testing.
*Support the setup, operation/data collection, and shut down of test sets and test equipment
installed in a specially modified test vehicle.
*Perform routine maintenance on test sets and test equipment/instrumentation.
*Drive a specially modified vehicle to travel to any locations accessible by land travel
