This position is a part of the UCF Knight Shadow program Fall Break 2026 session.

- Shadowing experiences are virtual or in-person mode, depending on what the employer is offering (read details carefully).
- If you apply to an in-person shadow, be 100% sure you can get to the location on the specified date.
- By submitting your application, you are agreeing to a job shadow experience with the host that is assigned to you, on the date you applied for
- If you are matched with an experience, your participation is MANDATORY. Failure to accept an experience will result in you being unable to participate in the UCF Knight Shadow program in the future.
- All matched students must complete the Student Orientation Webcourse, (brief 10-15 minutes). This orientation will be administered via webcourses and covers expectations, logistics, planning, and other details.

Audubon Center for Birds of Prey, located in Maitland, FL, is part of the statewide Audubon Florida conservation organization. We are an office of the National Audubon Society dedicated to promoting a stewardship ethic toward Florida’s birds of prey and their habitats through medical rehabilitation, interactive education, and practical research. This shadow experience gives the student an opportunity to see what our Raptor Trauma Clinic internship is like and that it is designed to provide an individual, with a demonstrated interest in wildlife rehabilitation and clinical care, the ability to learn & participate in the operations of our Raptor Trauma Clinic and rehabilitation programs. Students shadowing will be able to experience everything from feeding a hawk, cleaning a kennel, seeing an X-ray of bird get done, to feeding our permanent raptor collection.
