Cheer Coach (After School) – Polk County

BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring energetic and reliable After-School Cheer Coaches to lead elementary-aged students in fun, structured cheer programs throughout Polk County.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students interested in education, coaching, youth development, kinesiology, exercise science, recreation, dance, or physical education. If you enjoy working with children and creating a positive, active learning environment, we'd love to hear from you.

We are currently hiring coaches for Cheer programs.

Position Details

  • Part-time, after-school position
  • Monday through Friday
  • Between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM
  • 1.5-hour sessions
  • $30 per session (1.5 hours)
  • No weekends
  • No lesson planning required
  • Curriculum and equipment provided

Responsibilities

  • Coach elementary students in Cheer activities
  • Follow BBA's structured curriculum and lesson plans
  • Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment
  • Supervise groups of approximately 15 to 25 students
  • Teach cheer fundamentals, teamwork, confidence, and school spirit
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications

  • Experience participating in or coaching Cheer, Dance, gymnastics, or a related activity is preferred but not required
  • Comfortable working with children in grades K through 5
  • Reliable transportation to schools throughout Polk County
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Must successfully complete the required school district background check and fingerprinting process
