This position is a part of the UCF Knight Shadow program Fall 2026 session.

  • Shadowing experiences are virtual or in-person mode, depending on what the employer is offering (read details carefully).
  • If you apply to an in-person shadow, be 100% sure you can get to the location on the specified date.
  • By submitting your application, you are agreeing to a job shadow experience with the host that is assigned to you, on the date you applied for
  • If you are matched with an experience, your participation is MANDATORY. Failure to accept an experience will result in you being unable to participate in the UCF Knight Shadow program in the future.
  • All matched students must complete the Student Orientation Webcourse, (brief 10-15 minutes). This orientation will be administered via webcourses and covers expectations, logistics, planning, and other details.

Camp Boggy Creek is a free, year-round nonprofit medical camp located in Eustis, Florida, serving children and families living with serious illnesses. Founded in 1996 by Paul Newman and General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Camp provides a safe, welcoming environment where campers can experience the magic of camp while being Safe, Respected, and Loved.

Through the Knight Shadow Program, students will have the opportunity to experience Camp Boggy Creek beyond the camper experience and gain an inside look at how a nonprofit organization operates. Students will learn how multiple departments work together to support Camp’s mission, including areas such as Volunteer Engagement, Programs, Development, Marketing, Medical, Operations, and more. By shadowing Camp staff, students will gain a better understanding of the different roles, responsibilities, and teamwork required to successfully run a nonprofit organization and bring its mission to life.
