Part Time Accounting Intern

WallachBeth Capital, https://wallachbeth.com/ , a registered Securities Broker dealer regulated by SEC/FINRA is looking for a part time/intern in the accounting team at our Jersey City office located at Harborside Financial Center Plaza 5. This will be a great opportunity for you to begin your professional career in the highly regulated broker dealer industry.

Duties:

1. Assist the accountant with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Team.
2. Assist the accountant in reconciling bank reconciliations.
3. Assist the accountant in maintaining various month end schedules to support financial statements.
4. Assist the accountant in preparing various month end journal entries into the General Ledger.
5. Perform repetitive data entry tasks and other duties as assigned by the accountant.
6. Work on special projects and prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.

Qualifications Requirements:

1. Expect to work 20 hours per week.
2. A bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) or any business major.
3. Must be highly detail oriented and organized in your work.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills required and knowledge of QuickBooks a plus.
5. No work experience is required but any accounting/operation related experience is plus.
